Interior Inspiration: Jean Louis Deniot

One of my favorite things is interior design. I could seriously just browse through pictures of homes and hotels and stores; anything involving interior design for hours! I’m constantly daydreaming about houses I could design and build. I hope one day that interior design and architecture could really be a large part of my career or at least a hobby since it’s something I’m so passionate about, to the dismay of my parents (I’m always trying to make decisions about the house, it get’s on their nerves which is beyond me. My taste is hopelessly beyond theirs). Anyway one of the Interior designers who’s work speaks to me is Jean Louis Deniot who really includes the Parisian inspiration in his work, and I love Parisian design! Here are some of my favorite examples of his! Tell me what you think…

What do you guys think? Is this classical French style your taste, or do you prefer a more modern look, or maybe a bit more homey and comfortable? I can appreciate all styles, as long as it’s high end and tasteful that is…

Mens Fashion Week F/W 15 Was Essentially Perfect

Mens Fashion Week for the F/W 15 collections has come to it’s close, unfortunately, because the collection this year were amazing. I really thought the mens shows were great this year. I noticed among the trends for the fall were lots of dark colors and neutrals, slim pants, overcoats, and very textured. Monochromatic color schemes are big this year, one of my favorite trends along with the overcoat, and another thing is that all the patterns were very geometric, or they were derived from nature with flowers or animals seen at Valentino. One day I would love to attend Paris Fashion Week and actually be there to photograph and be photographed…as of right now though it’s still fun to see all the trends fold out. I think my absolute favorite shows were Valentino, Lanvin, and Saint Laurent and A.P.C. Here are my favorite looks from my favorite shows, with my favorite trends…I’d wear all of it without hesitation.

VALENTINO:

SAINT LAURENT:

HERMÈS:

A.P.C

FENDI:

Going back and looking through all of my selections now and my mouth is beginning to water. I mean sometimes I impress even myself with my taste level, it’s too high for my own good! It’s hard to choose a favorite but there were a few I didn’t like so much…like Rick Owens, or should I say Dick Owens. Please, not only was there all that buzz over the half naked models, but the clothes were hideous. I mean I wouldn’t even settle to wear a single piece from that collection, I’d shop at Old Navy before I shop at that collection. Another one was Givenchy, I’m just over Givenchy, I’ve been trying for so long to love it but I can’t, I just can’t.

Anyway this fall, I’ll be having a long and very expensive shopping list because the fashion for this season is impeccable. Better save this summer!

These Valentino F/W 15 RockRunners sneakers can be added to my lust list because holy mother of Christ they are beautiful…I really love the felt look! I love the monochromatic color scheme and the subtle camo and stud details! You gotta love a classic Valentino stud… I can’t wait until they come out I’ll be buying these for sure. I’m predicting they’ll be maybe $695?? Anyway the only downside to these otherwise heavenly shoes are that they are felt, love the look until some dirty water or pasta sauce gets on them!

I’m Feeling My Look Today…

I’m sick of winter. I’m NOT sick of dressing for winter though because it’s all about those dark colors and layers. Two things I love. Everyone, I mean everyone needs some good layering techniques for this shitty bleak weather…

Next Travel Destination?

Unfortunately for me, Europe will not be happening in April, we all came to a realization that as a junior I need to visit some colleges and with such a busy year, spring break really is the only time…So as of right now I’m going to Boston in April among some other Northeastarn towns like Rhode Island, etc…

However my Dad has shown some interest in another trip to Europe soon? Our close family friends in Florence are really pushing for us to do a huge amazing trip to Sicily, to see some of our family roots as well as see the beautiful Sicilian culture, maybe I’ll pick up some Dolce and Gabbana after a great day of olive oil tasting and sun-tanning! Despite me knowing the dreams that lay within the Island of Sicily, I can’t shake my absolute obsession and infatuation with the idea of going to Paris! I’ve dreamed of it my entire life and I can almost taste the Ladurée Macarons after arriving to my lovely FS George V guest room while gazing out over the courtyard into the streets of Paris. Which one? Although I don’t have the family or financial authority to make the choice I still feel as though I have a decision to make!

Maybe both?

Stay Classy, Tycho.

Moving On and Letting Go

Maybe the title is a little bit dramatic seeing as it’s regarding my bedding, however, um that’s okay. So a little background here, I chose some bedding out when I was 12 I chose some new bedding out for my room. This was due to the fact that my parents were re-doing my bedroom for my birthday which is funny because even to this day Ed still has not put one of my outlet covers back on. I’m 16 now. Also regarding the tile, it’s referring too my gross old teenager boy plaid bedding which I won’t even show you I’m so embarrassed.

You can forget all of that stuff that isn’t finished though, like window treatments, and outlet covers, and floors, and molding…I’m starting to get sad now. While I dwell on that, I should say that a lot has been done such as my new fan, my lighting, my chairs, my bedding, furniture, etc…The latest additions making my room a bit more sophisticated include my bedding and my polaroid collage! As well as my Lanvin, Hermès and Burberry boxes strewn across my room…I’m beginning to like my room but there’s a lot to be done…

Now I think my favorite part is my gold mirror, my lucite baroque lamp, and my clear Louis XVI chair…I’m obsessed with all of those! I’ll put some links for all of what you see in my room down below! Also as you can see I absolutely love my coffee table books!

Clear Louis XVI Ghost Chair – $450

Clear Acrylic Baroque Desk Lamp – $80

Gold Parisian Mirror – $70 *I couldn’t find my exact mirror, this is the closest in style being sold online*

Black and Silver Transitional Ceiling Fan – $300

It’s Too Cold Out

Okay, so the weather in New York right now has been fricken freezing…Now, if this was because it’s snowing and we’re missing school, I would tolerate it! I just can’t take the cold much longer but I’m still dressing fricken amazing so whatever I guess.

I’m wearing:

-J.Crew Cashmere Scarf

-J.Crew Wool Peacoat

-Club Room Cashmere Sweater

-Prada Belt

-Armani Jeans

-Michael Kors Watch

-Miansai Black Leather Hook Bracelet

New Leather Obsession!!!

I have a new obsession with leather bracelets. Ever since Ed (my father) let me wear his Tod’s leather bracelet I just want a ton! They’re such a great masculine accessory and can really be dressed up and dressed down. Worn together or separate. So many options. They’re fairly inexpensive but not cheap, however, I like mixing the high and the low, so I’ll wear my little 2 Euro Florentine bracelets one day and the next day I’ll be wearing a $350 bracelet, sometimes together!

One of my favorites I got for Christmas (I’ll be doing a post on that once everything in the mail comes back) and I wear it all the time. It’s the Miansai All Black Fishhook from Bergdorf Goodman. Let me just say, seeing a little silver Bergdorfs box under the tree is fun enough, but I really loved what was inside. It’s currently available at BergdorfGoodman.com for $68.

Just a few days later, back in New York I went shopping with my friend Brianna in New York, and the day was a huge failure, we found NOTHING. More on that later though because I have a whole post for that, and I shouldn’t say nothing because I sure did find something. A great leather something wrapped up in orange and brown! I’ve wanted the Hermès Hapi 3 Bracelet for a little bit after seeing it online and I went to try it on, once I saw it I knew I wanted it. And it was almost impulsive, I didn’t even want to buy it that day but I loved it so I did! It’s reversible, just like my belt…Black and tan also, love it. I bought it for $345 and it’s also available on Hermès.com right now. Beth also has a bright blue Hermès Hapi 3, same size so I might wear hers as well, they’re unisex by the way.

I’m Back!

Okay so obviously, December was such a busy month for me, I was not very busy blogging. Who am I kidding, I was too lazy overeating and obsessively browsing Instagram and the online shops of Barney’s and A.P.C. So here I am, 10:24 p.m on the last night of Christmas break with fucking school tomorrow. By the way, I still have an essay to write and a non-fiction book to select, and a shower to take so I’m predicting I’ll be up till 2 a.m…another one of those nights. I’ve given up on being fully rested for school, I’ve found out I can go without it. I’ve fully accepted (and welcomed) the bitchy resting face that comes with a constant state of tiredness and procrastination and stress and unhappiness. Thankfully material desire and an unhealthy amount of hope that I will improve myself for my current circumstances helps me deny that my routine is anything but functional! Anyway, I don’t really trust myself but this week I’ll be posting about Christmas gifts, Christmastime in Colorado/ Skiing, my NYC Day with a friend,my little orange gift to myself, as well as my Instagram OBSESSION with VSCO CAM.

P.S I’m really proud of this selfie and my outfit is cool but what the fuck is new, you know? I’m so mad at myself.

Goodnight! I’ll for sure be posting more….
